Qualifying Courses

Once you have submitted an application for admission to your program of choice (except for limited enrolment programs), we will process your application and you will be informed of our decision. If you must complete qualifying courses, you will then be notified. Successful completion of these qualifying courses is a condition for pursuing your studies in the program you selected.

Qualifying year

If you hold a pre-university diploma totalling 12 years of education, you may apply for admission to Université Laval. You will then have to complete a qualifying year on campus. This year consists of 30 qualifying credits, and possibly 6 credits in the university program you have chosen, over two semesters.
